Redfish Action is HOT in the Tampa Area
Just about every flat is holding Redfish right now. If you think you are going fishing this weekend at all. LOOK AT THE TIDES and hit the water at High Tide and find a Nice Flat to Drift accross.....My Favorite, GULP SHRIMP "New Penny" or "White" are excellent choices for Redfish this weekend. you can't go wrong if you are out there the fish are there too....Check out my Map for more places and exact locations.

Good to hear that the fishing is finally coming around. I'm headed back to Tampa next week and was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the tarpon bite around Skyway. In the past it usually starts to heat up around mid to late May but didn't know if this colder winter was going to keep them away till later this summer. Thanks for the help.
ReplyDeleteTarpon have not showed yet and they are a rather dedicated visitor to the Bay waters and bridges come late may early June. We still expect to see them moving this way. They haven't showed in Boca yet so once they do we will have an idea that they will be here a week or two after they show there. As soon as I hear something it will be on my blog. BUT the Spanish Macks are all over the bay and in huge numbers. look for bait and you'll find macks under the bait.
